Corsham town centre was all a-buzz last week, as the town welcomed the South West in Bloom judges with a hive of activity.
Preparations for the contest have been well under way, with schoolchildren, residents and council staff all working to ensure the town looks its best for the contest’s 50th anniversary.
Council chairman Ruth Hopkinson took the judging panel on a tour of the town last Friday.
She said: “We pointed out all of the hard work done by both volunteers and the council ground staff.
“We have got our local ‘It’s Your Neighbourhood’ competition running now, so the judging went on for that on Monday as well. It’s been wall-to-wall horticulture and judging all week.”
A sdisplay has been put upin the centre of town to celebrate the golden theme.
