First-time marathon runner Lucy Loquette will hold a one-off track day at Castle Combe Circuit to raise funds for the Sue Ryder charity.
Ms Loquette, 50, has hired the circuit for March 17 and is inviting car owners to use the track as an opportunity to drive their vehicles at maximum speeds. There will also be the chance for people to ride in the cars and experience the exhilaration of fast driving in a safe place.
All proceeds will go to Sue Ryder to aid Gloucestershire’s Leckhampton Court Hospice.
Ms Loquette said: “Leckhampton is the only hospice in Gloucestershire and they are doing a fabulous job.”
The event runs from 9am until 5pm at Castle Combe Circuit, with the day fee set at £160 per driver and passenger laps at £30 for 15 minutes.
Bristol Motor Club will also hold a driving skills contest called AutoSolo on the day.
