Hardenhuish School’s delight at education award

Hardenhuish School in Chippenham has achieved the coveted NACE Challenge Award for excellence in its provision for able, gifted and talented pupils.

The school is the first comprehensive secondary school in Wiltshire to be given the prestigious award by the National Association for Able Children in Education.

It is awarded for high quality work by the whole school, teachers and governors, in challenging all pupils, including those with high abilities, to achieve their best.

The award was received by headteacher Jan Hatherell.

She said: “I am extremely proud NACE have recognised the work Hardenhuish has done to integrate provision for able children, with the emphasis on outstanding teaching and learning for all on a daily basis, supplemented by appropriate enrichment.”
