Charge over love attack

LEE Millgate, who is accused of glassing a rival in love, has appeared before Swindon Crown Court.
Millgate, of Brook Street, Chippenham, is charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent to Julian Putt.
The 22-year-old is said to have used a glass as a weapon during the attack in a pub on April 17.
It is alleged that Millgate attacked Mr Putt as he is the new boyfriend of Millgate's former girlfriend.
Millgate, who appeared in the dock with a black eye, spoke only to confirm his name during the brief hearing.
No charges were formally put to him and no plea was entered. The case was adjourned to August 18 when Millgate is expected to enter a plea. He was released on conditional bail.
