Chemical leak at rubber factory

A chemical spill caused havoc at Bumpers Farm Industrial Estate at rush hour this morning.
Emergency services blocked off the entrance to the Avon factory, at the gateway to the busy estate, while they dealt with the incident.
A member of staff alerted the fire brigade after smelling what is believed to be ammonia leaking from a fridge in the building.
Workers in the office were evacuated, but the factory continued to operate as normal.
Fire crews were at the factory until lunctime.
