Police were called to Chippenham library this afternoon to remove a drunk man from the building.

A police van pulled up outside the library on Timber Street just before 5.30pm and took the man away.

Chippenham librarian Basil Nankivell said: "A man had come into the library and was obviously drunk.

"He had been in a while and was okay but started to get a little aggressive so the police were called."
