CHILDREN from Redland School in Chippenham explored the world outside their classroom during outdoor learning week.
A roaring fire and shelters were built by staff from Woodland Adventurers on Monday for pupils in Wrens and Owls class, while pupils from Buzzards took a closer look at the frogs and frogspawn living in a pond which was renovated by parents last year.
“The whole school has come alive with enthusiasm for opportunities to use the outdoors,” Katharine Thomson, outdoor learning co-ordinator, said.
“The school community of parents, children and staff have worked hard to improve previously neglected outdoor spaces and enhance their potential.
“It has been really rewarding to see every child learn new skills and have a range of different experiences.”
