HARDENHUISH School is one step closer to buying a new lightweight minibus to help enrich pupils learning out of school thanks to a £1,550 grant.
Fish Brothers Toyota Swindon presented the school's Educational Trust and the Friends of Hardenhuish with the cheque on December 6 following a successful application.
The school, who are currently in the process of replacing their fleet, hope to buy a lightweight minibus so that younger staff, who do not have a category DI on their licence, will be able to drive it.
Headteacher Lisa Percy said: “The school are very grateful to Hardenhuish Educational Trust and Fish Brothers for their support in raising money towards the purchase of a new and much needed minibus for the benefit of all of our pupils and students.”
It is hoped that the bus will arrive in the spring term.
