A CHILD inspired to raise money for good causes hosted a ramble with the help of her family in Chippenham. Beau Satchell and her parents organised the sponsored walk and bake sale for Children in Need after watching other fundraising events and wanting to get involved.

Ramblers took over John Coles park in Chippenham and there were even a few four legged friends who took part in the fun walk that began from Monkton Park tearooms on October 14.

A cake sale was also a popular stall as many from the group of 45 walkers tucked into to a sweet treat after their ramble. The event raised £260 for Children in Need, and Beau's mum and organiser Shelley Satchell said: "The turn out was better than I expected with 45 adults, kids and a couple of dogs joining us along the way. We had a great time and raised £260 for children in need. The cake sale raised £103 and the rest from sponsorship.

"We are all from Chippenham and it happened because my daughter Beau ask if we could raise money for children in need last year."
