CHOCOLATIERS in Corsham have clinched a sweet moment of victory after they were crowned Champion Chocolate at the Taste of the West Awards 2017 for the second year running.
Following up on their Gold and three Silver awards earlier this year, Lick the Spoon’s Champagne Truffles were tried and tested for the prestigious awards, which was held at the Grand Hall of Exeter University on September 14.
The sweetness of the vanilla, the bitterness of chocolate and the kick of champagne from the truffles helped the chocolatiers secure their second Champion Chocolate award and founder Diana Short is delighted.
She said: “We’re delighted to win Champion Chocolate once again, this time for our Champagne Truffles.
“This is the third year in a row we’ve been named overall Champion Chocolate throughout the South West and it is a great boost for all of our team.”
Lick the Spoon, which has been running for eight years, has also previously been named as the Best of Chocolate overall category winner six times and last year, as well as clinching Champion Chocolate, Lick the Spoon were also awarded Supreme Champion for their chocolates The Bish.
