People from across the country have come together to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the well known horse show previously attended by Prince Harry and Lady Diana.

Foxham Horse Show has not only gained its self a royal reputation, but has also become a much loved tradition in Wiltshire.

This was celebrated with equestrian competitions including the shetland pony performance, dog shows and produce photography, cookery and craft competitions.

There was also a special exhibition on the history of rosettes the show has collected over the years.

This year the show saw an outstanding amount of entries, with more than 400 in the equestrian events, over 250 in the dog and agility events and 182 in the produce competition, with the youngest competitor entering her horse at just 2-and-a-half-years-old.

Michelle Hanson, Foxham Horse Show organiser said: “I think it’s just so fantastic that such a small village like Foxham has kept up with a tradition like this for 30 years.

“Some of the volunteers who make the show possible have worked it every single year, and that is something we are tremendously proud of, and we definitely celebrated this on the day.

“We were also very lucky with the weather, which would ave helped with the great turn out we had.

“People were just having fun and there was a lovely atmosphere.”

The proceeds from the show are distributed to charities chosen to reflect the activities at the show and to support the village.

Some of the charities include St John the Baptist Church Foxham, the Foxham Reading Room and Wiltshire Air Ambulance.

With no plans to stop this on-going tradition, Foxham Horse Show will be continuing to bring in the people of Wiltshire and other parts of the country for many years to come, and wish to thank their volunteers and competitors.
