A MAN who is accused of burgling two farmhouses has been released on bail by a judge.

Christopher Moran is also charged with stealing a wallet and possessing a quantity of stolen metal.

Moran, 28, of Cricklade Road, Swindon, pleaded not guilty to two counts of burglary, one of theft, and one of possessing criminal property when he appeared at Swindon Crown Court.

He is first said to have taken silverware, glassware and jewellery from a farm on Chippenham Road, Lyneham, last November.

On November 14 he is said to have stolen a wallet and around the same time burgled a farm on Trow Lane, making off with cash.

He is also alleged to have been in possession of a stolen hot water tank and two bags of copper piping on November 15.

Judge Tim Mousley QC adjourned the case to November 1, when he is to stand trial.

He released Moran on bail on condition he does not go to Dauntsey.
