FOODIES will be in sweet treat heaven at Corsham's Creative Market this Saturday (June 3) as a local baker unveils her latest cupcake creations.

Carly Westcott, 29, runs Coocoocachoo Gourmet Cupcakes and is celebrating a year of exhibiting at the monthly event by selling brand new flavours, including rum, giner and lime - one of her popular 18 plus cocktail cupcakes - and blueberry and white chocolate.

Miss Westcott, who also runs a wedding planning business in Chippenham, says that the blueberry creation in particular means she now stocks 'every colour in the rainbow'.

"I also make cupcakes that use vegetables, rather than sugar, and they are a big hit with children," she said. "It's a novelty - they will say 'I want the purple one' not realising it's beetroot and full of nutrients.

"Vegetables change the texture slightly but you don't compromise on taste. Most can't tell the difference between a traditional cupcake."

She also makes courgette and lime or carrot and orange cupcakes, as well as a bevvy of designs inspired by traditional desserts such as cookies and cakes like Victoria Sponge.

Corsham Creative market takes place the first Saturday of every month at Corsham Community Campus and features more than 35 stalls selling a range of crafts, gifts and other locally produced items.

It's run by Nicola Davis-Craft, who was named Young Entrepreneur Of The Year at the Enterprising Wiltshire Awards last year.

Entry is free and the market runs from 11am to 3pm.
