Chippenham man charged with murder to appear in court
22-YEAR-OLD Chippenham man Matthew Chapman has been charged with murder following an incident in London Road yesterday.
Chapman, of Wood Lane, has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Salisbury Magistrates Court on Thursday morning.
Although formal identification has not yet taken place, police believe the deceased to be Russell Nixon, 38, of Derby Close, Chippenham.
His family have been informed and are being supported by specialist family liaison officers.
The cordon in London Road has now been lifted.
