THE headteacher of a Chippenham Primary School is away from her desk amid rumours amongst parents that she has been suspended.
Hilary Lambert has been the headteacher at Redland Primary School in Chippenham for 18 years, but it has been confirmed that she is currently away from the school.
Redland chairman of governors Steve Besent said: “She’s not in the school at the moment and we’ve got an interim leadership team with our two assistant head teachers.”
Despite being asked several times, Mr Besent would not confirm or deny if Ms Lambert had been suspended, how long she has been away from the school or when she would return.
“I’ve not got anything more to say I have told you all that I’m able to,” he said.
“Anybody talking about suspension is just speculating.”
