TWO Hardenhuish School business students have helped to shape the future of Wessex Water after taking part in a panel discussion and seeing how the company works.

Lauren Simms and Eleanor Gledhill joined 19 other sixth form students on the Wessex Water Young People’s Panel, which was set up to hear from future customers with strong opinions on wastewater and the environment.

Students were split into four teams and spent four months collaborating on how to promote water metering and improve customer service.

“I wanted to see how a big company worked and obviously Wessex Water are quite influential, so I wanted to find out how they operate on the inside,” said Eleanor.

“We worked really hard trying to think of ideas and I hope hearing our opinions has benefited the company.”

Lauren added: “I enjoyed the variety of activities and being able to interact and share ideas with so many different people.”
