TWO Chippenham men have been arrested by Wiltshire Police after officers discovered a large amount of drugs and cash at a property in Brooklands.
A 38-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class A and B drugs at the Brooklands house after police found 12 bags of cannabis, 45 bags of a white crystalline power, cash, scales and a number of mobile phones at 11pm on Wednesday, March 1.
Police later arrested a 21-year-old on suspicion with intent to supply class A and B drugs but both have been released on bail while further enquiries are carried out.
Inspector Ian Stevenson said: “This was a successful warrant carried out by Community Policing Team officers – a quantity of drugs were seized and two arrests made.
“Drug use can really blight a community – with drug supply and drug use often comes anti-social behaviour and violent crime and this can be distressing, upsetting and disruptive to the local communities.
“We will always act on information we receive from the public and I would continue to urge anyone who suspects drug activity in their neighbourhood to contact police via 101.”
