STAFF at Chippenham’s British Heart Foundation (BHF) shop have been celebrating after the store reached a milestone of 25 years since it first opened its doors.

Located on the High Street, the shop sells a range of items such as clothes, shoes, accessories, DVDs, books and CDs, with profits going towards life-saving heart research.

Volunteers celebrated 25 years since the store opened this week with a party and special cake donated by Louise Merritt at Celebration Surprise.

Certificates were also awarded to people who have been volunteering at the shop for more than a year.

BHF area manager, Debbie Cheeseman said: “We’ve enjoyed a fantastic 25 years of business in the Chippenham shop.

“I’d like to take this opportunity to thank all our loyal customers and volunteers who really make this shop special and help the BHF fund its lifesaving research.

“We are looking forward to welcoming even more customers in the shop and making the next 25 years equally as successful.

“We’re always in need of support, so if you are having a clear out in the coming weeks, please do keep us in mind as we would love to receive any good-quality donations such as clothing, shoes and books.

“If you would rather give the gift of time and have a couple of hours to spare each week please do get in touch with us on 01249 448037 as it would be great to welcome some new volunteers to the team.”
