A STALWART of Chippenham has been honoured for her contribution to the town as a councillor, business owner and campaigner after receiving a lifetime achievement award.
Coun Sandie Webb was presented with the accolade at the Chippenham Business Awards which were held last night following her dedication to the town for more than 30 years.
“It was lovely and a great honour,” said the 64-year-old.
“I was more surprised that my husband had kept it quiet from me.”
Manager of the Chippenham BID, Simon Philpott, said: “She’s been a stalwart of the town for many years and her resume underlines that.
“She’s not just a part of Chippenham but a major contributor to the fabric of our town.”
