THOSE wanting to become the next Terry Wogan or anyone who just loves the sound of their own voice are being encouraged to put it to use and join Chippenham Hospital Radio.

Broadcasting to patients and staff at the community hospital, the radio station is looking for more people to join its current team of eleven.

A mix of music, sport, news and local information are broadcast throughout the week to keep listeners in touch with their community.

Station manager Simon Hyde said: “We’re looking to grow our small team of volunteers and want to hear from anyone keen to get behind the microphone and provide some much-needed company for people who either visit or have to stay in hospital.

“It might seem a bit daunting at first but training and support is offered for anyone keen to have a go and you never know you could be a radio star of tomorrow.”
