Funds were raised for St Margaret's church when locals got into the Christmas spirit by supporting the Figgy Pudding Fair in Yatton Keynell.

The community event was held in the car park, barn and marquee of The Bell Inn and saw many families come along throughout the day to support local organisations.

After hosting a Christmas market for three years, the aim of the Figgy Pudding Fair was to be a more intimate, family orientated arrangement, which although was a smaller event than previous years, still had a great turn out.

All stalls were run by local organisations and included Christmas cakes and puddings, jams, chutneys and pickles, mulled wine and a barbeque to name a few.

Organiser Margaret Dyke said: “All the attractions were very popular, but the children especially enjoyed taking part in the sweet tombola”

Although the final amount raised is still yet to be confirmed, the community is confident that the fair raised a generous amount for St Margaret's Church and other local organisations thanks to the Christmas spirit of the people who made the Figgy Pudding Fair a success.
