A NEW store in Chippenham will be hoping to pirouette its way to success with its range of bespoke tutus and dance costumes.

Chippenham’s Clare Boldon has opened DanceWear on New Road, eight years after she first used her skills as a former environmental engineer to create dance dresses for her daughter.

The 42-year-old was soon asked to make dresses for other children and has already provided hundreds of dresses and tutus to customers nationwide over the years.

Those visiting the store, which opened last month, will be able to try before buying the vast range of products available.

Ms Boldon said: “We’re stocking everything from leotards, cropped tops and hoodies, to ballet, tap and latin shoes.

“We can also announce we are the exclusive local stockist for Pineapple, Bloch and Mirella fashion wear – as often girls like to wear something pretty to class, as well as their basic dance uniforms.

“We will continue transforming people’s ideas into costumes – as well as altering existing ones – but now customers can visit in a beautiful environment instead of a small room. Orders are being accepted from February 2017 onwards.”

The reason to open the store stems from the success of Ms Boldon’s daughter, Charlotte, who was accepted as one of only ten dance pupils nationwide at the Tring School for the Performing Arts.

“Charlotte is doing so well – she performed with the English National Ballet in The Nutcracker last winter – but since she is away from home during term time, my family and friends encouraged me to go ahead with the shop.”
