THREE care homes in Chippenham have become the first in Wiltshire to receive an Outstanding rating under new guidelines issued by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), following an inspection.

Cocklebury Farmhouse, 13 Greenways Park and 79 Malmesbury Road are all commissioned by Wiltshire Council and run by Cocklebury Farmhouse Homes Limited.

Phil Taylor, director at Cocklebury Farmhouse Homes Ltd, said: “The adult care sector is going through a challenging time but we will all continue to work hard to try and ensure these high standards are maintained at these three homes and replicated right across the county.

“The whole staff group and I are hugely honoured and proud to have received the Outstanding rating in all three homes from the Care Quality Commission.

“This recognition by the CQC with its highest accolade is a testament to the consistent hard work and effort of all the staff.

“However, while we will enjoy the moment, our work continues to enable the best possible quality of life and promote fantastic opportunities for all our customers.”

All three homes were found to have well maintained surroundings, residents felt safe and their rights were recognised and respected amongst other notable features.

Wiltshire Council cabinet member for adult care, Jerry Wickham, said: “We are delighted that these homes are providing high quality care for local residents.

“It was clear the inspectors were impressed by the dedicated, caring and knowledgeable staff at each home and we thank them for the valuable service they provide.”
