CHIPPENHAM Multi Markets - a number of markets rolled into one - launches this Sunday.

Artisan goods will be added to the locally sourced food and drink stalls when the Wiltshire farmers' market returns to the High Street, complemented by StrEat Food, activities and music.

People will still be able to meet and support the people who grow, rear and make the food, drink and artisan goods on offer.

Any Body Can Cook will share simple ideas for meals and preparation for the less confident cooks and for children who would like to have a go.

Sue Thomson, Wiltshire Farmers' Markets administrator, said: "Experience suggests that local people love an event and that is just what we plan to offer.

"Including artisan makers reflects the growing demand for well made arts, crafts, furnishings, clothing and textiles.

"Buying from the makers not only supports local enterprise it also ensures individuality, an opportunity to own or give something more unusual that isn’t available on every High Street in the country.”

Chippenham Multi Markets will be held on the High Street on the third Sunday of every month until the end of the year from 10am to 3pm.
