A NEW travel agency opened its doors in Chippenham this week.
Martine MacDonald and Sadie Goodship are running Pebbles Travel in The Causeway. They were recently faced with relocating or taking redundancy when their previous employers, Norad Travel, closed it office on Station Hill at the end of February.
Mrs Goodship, 57, of Chippenham, and Mrs MacDonald, 40, of Lower Stanton St Quintin, met while working at Norad Travel 10 years ago.
Mrs MacDonald, who also previously ran an independent travel agents in Malmesbury for 10 years, said: "We both felt that this was the right time with almost 40 years experience between us, to take the plunge and go it alone.
"We choose to open in Chippenham as we feel Chippenham and its surrounding areas has potential.
"We believe people buy from people, and it's all about the service we provide."
