TK MAXX will open its doors in Chippenham in just over a week.
The discount designer fashion and homeware retailer is the second company to open at Bath Road Retail Park after Next. Its opening leaves just one unit of the old Focus DIY store empty.
TK Maxx said they would be receiving several deliveries per week to the 1,362 sq m store, with each delivery containing thousands of items.
The first customer in the queue will get to cut the ribbon at 9am on Thursday, February 19.
Huge crowds queued for hours for the opening of Trowbridge’s Spitfire Retail Park store four months ago, when the store gave its first 500 customers a £10 gift card to spend.
A TK Maxx spokeswoman said unfortunately this offer would not be made at the Chippenham opening, though she did expect long queues.
Michael Corr, Chippenham store manager for TK Maxx, said: “We are very excited to be opening up the new TK Maxx store and bringing Chippenham’s shoppers big labels and designer gems at amazing prices.”
The Chippenham store is said by TK Maxx to have created 40 jobs.
The sales associates positions advertised on their website were for contracts of between eight and 20 hours.
