Visitors to Wiltshire College Chippenham’s open evening next week will be able to sign up for tours of the new £21 million campus in-the-making.

The new campus is due to open in the autumn and the college will be staging guided tours of the building on Saturday, January 24.

An exhibition of the new, state-of-the-art campus, currently the biggest skills funding project nationally, will be held during the open evening and a representative from developers Willmott Dixon will be on hand to answer questions, and those wishing to get an early glimpse of the facility will be able to sign up for some of the limited spaces available on the Saturday tours between 10am and 1pm.

Wiltshire College open events are a great way to discover all the courses and apprenticeships available, and during the hands-on activities on the evening, you can have a go at a driving simulator on the computing and IT stand, have your nails painted and a hand massage with the beauty therapy team, get involved with ropes, tent building and orienteering with the public services team, and take a fitness test with the Sport team.

There will also be the chance to sample wine, deli produce, chocolates and cakes in a mini French market, as part of a market research project by HNC Business students, and the Wiltshire College MGZR rally car will also be on show courtesy of the Motorsport Engineering department.

Visitors can also learn more of what Wiltshire College Chippenham has to offer in the fields of travel and tourism, media, TV and film, hairdressing, catering and professional cookery, vehicle maintenance, childcare and health and social care, arts, design and fashion and games development.

The open evening, on Wednesday, January 21, will run from 5pm to 7.30pm at the Cocklebury Road campus, and student services representatives, careers, and additional learning support teams will also be on hand to provide information, advice and guidance.
