Wiltshire College Lackham is gearing up for an open morning with racing car demonstrations on Saturday.

The motorsport engineering team will be at the college’s dedicated motorsport facility at Castle Combe Circuit, offering details on the full-time and university level courses available.

At Lackham, the countryside management team will hold tours of the woodland, pheasant pen and conservation areas, with minibus tours also taking visitors around the farm facilities.

The agricultural engineering and farm mechanisation team will stage machinery demonstrations, the horticulture and floristry department will offer visitors the chance to make a buttonhole and to have a go at identifying plants, and the military preparation team will provide information on courses designed to help gain entry into the Armed Forces.

Potential students can learn about activities, sports and trips on offer at the Lackham campus, plus information on finance, applications and other support.

The event runs from 10am-noon. For details, go to www.wiltshire.ac.uk
