A Tumble Tots fundraising event at Chippenham Sports Club has raised £150 for the Hope 4 Harmonie appeal.
The appeal, which has passed £20,000, was set up to support 11-month-old Harmonie-Rose Allen from Bath, who fell ill in September.
She was rushed to Bristol Children’s Hospital with a rare form of meningococcal septicaemia and surgeons have had to amputate both her arms and legs to save her.
Debbie Bensley, Tumble Tots franchisee for Chippenham, Trowbridge and Bath, said: “I was immediately touched by the Hope 4 Harmonie appeal with my nephew having meningitis as a baby. I knew I and my Tumble Tots parents needed to help and support the appeal and raise awareness of meningitis.”
They raised the money on October 21 through a raffle, sale of pink ribbons and a sponsored challenge balancing on planks in the Tumble Tots circuit.
Children came dressed in Peppa Pig clothes and brought their own soft toys to the event in the air dome, finishing with a ride on an imaginary bus.
