The first glimpse of a proposed new development in Lyneham was put on display on Friday.
The plans were on view at the Edmunds garage site on Lyneham Green and include a new convenience store, post office, doctors’ surgery and pharmacy.
Land owner Stephen Andrews also hopes to get planning permission for two restaurants, an extra-care facility, and to welcome the veterinary clinic onto the site from around the corner.
He said: “I am very pleased to see the turnout. The one thing from the community-led plan that people wanted was a doctors’ surgery.”
Mr Andrews, from Ashton Keynes, is relying on public support for the project to get planning permission as the one-acre site is outside the village framework boundary.
Work could start five weeks after planning permission is granted.
This could mean the convenience store and doctors’ surgery would open as early as spring 2015.
