Tender for three skate park designs should be received by the end of this month, it was announced at Chippenham Area Board meeting on Monday, with one to be selected in October.
But Sadlers Mead resident Alan Gould complained Monkton Park residents were not being included in the process. He said: “There has been a total refusal to meet us and hear those views which are key. If we wait for the planning application it’s likely to be too late.
“The council’s own policy is to involve local people. It should instruct the working party to listen to our views now, when they can be of use, not when it’s a fait accompli.”
Linda Packard, chairman of the area board, said: “There has already been a long consultation.”
