A popular sight on Colerne roads will soon be gone for good ride as an unusual Wiltshire tour company prepares to close.
Stewart Mackay is a common sight around Bath and West Wiltshire on his custom-built three-wheeled Razorcat trike, which he uses to take visitors around the county’s most scenic locations.
However in an email to customers last week he and wife Frances confirmed the business would be shutting down and they are to return to Australia, where they first met.
In it they said: “Due to unforeseen family circumstances we are reluctantly shutting down our business as we are returning to Australia.
“We have had a fabulous four years doing the trike tours in Bath and Wiltshire, and it’s thanks to people like you who have supported us that the business has proved to be a wonderful success.
“We have thoroughly enjoyed meeting everyone who has booked a tour, prom or wedding with us.
“It's been a blast and we hope you enjoyed riding the coolest machine on the planet – so it is with some sadness that we have to close – but a new adventure awaits us on the other side of the world.”
Pre-purchased gift vouchers will remain valid until October 31, when Razorcat Tours will officially cease trading.
