    "Meaningless rhetoric"

The problem here mike is clear, people like you cannot accept the politically incorrect truth. Immigrants and ethnic minorities are massively overrepresented in crime especially violent crime.

The official figures from the metropolitan police.

    Those proceeded against,

    Black and ethnic minorities.

    Street crime 54%
    Robbery 59%
    Gun crime 67%
Street crime includes muggings, assault with intent to rob and snatching property.

Approximately 12% of London's 8 Million population is black including those of mixed race.

How politically correct is that Mike, please check the figures out.
well here's the crux of the issue; taking the densely populated, metropolitan capital of the country and making direct comparisons with...Wiltshire. To even suggest that the ethnic population of London is a representation of the population of a rural area is absurd.

I also find it hilarious that not once have I mentioned anything about political correctness, yet I've seen it written here at least three times by others including you. Political correctness is nothing to do with it, stop using it! I'm simply for the advocation of opinions based on logic and fact, rather than warped prejudices from those who think anyone with a hood on is 'shifty'.
Yep - so am I. Throw all the thieving eastern european gangs out of the country - together with any other foreign natonal involved in crime within the uk - asap.
yeah, I'm sure the police will get right on that, once they've finished dealing with our own oiky offspring vandalising and thieving from the country that they had the priveledge to grow up in and not had to be desperate enough to seek a life somewhere else.

Some people don't know how good they have it. Just because you plopped out of your mums nether regions in a certain place, shouldn't make you more entitled to rights than someone who's got off their **** to seek something better somewhere else."

Pickpockets on the prowl

POLICE have warned the public to be on their guard after pickpockets targeted shoppers in Calne.

Two eastern European women attempted to steal from a shopper’s handbag in the Dorothy House charity store in Phelps Parade on April 10, but were disturbed and made off empty-handed.

Sergeant Phil Connor said: “This is a countrywide type of offence where individuals specifically target the elderly and vulnerable in charity shops.

“They know how to use implements to discreetly cut open handbags and remove property.

“We are advising all members of the public to ensure handbags are worn over the shoulder and sitting in front of the body.”
