Police appeal after man vandalises child's bike

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man threw a child's bike at a tree in Calne yesterday.

Two eight-year-old boys were playing near the field in Spreckley Road, Lower Compton, at around 4pm when a man approached, picked up one of their bikes and threw it at a tree.

He then returned and made a three inch slash in the back tyre.

The man is described as white, with brown hair, in his 40s, and was wearing a green jacket, green trousers and green wellies.

He had two dogs with him - one was small and golden in colour, while the other was larger and either brown or grey.

There was a woman with the man, and she is said to have short brown hair.
