TRUSTED traders in Calne have been shortlisted for a national award after happy customers sang their praises.

Grants Electrical Services was set up by Martin Grant in 2015 after leaving the army. In a few short years the team have earned a reputation for quality and trust in the local area and were recently shocked to discover they were in the top three trade companies for delivering on their service across the whole country.

They beat off 9,000 businesses in the 2018 Which? Trusted trader of the Year category and are headed to London for the awards ceremony this week.

Mr Grant said: “We were very surprised and obviously delighted to have been shortlisted for this award. Our ethos has always been on providing a first-class service from start to finish and going that extra mile for our customers.

“It’s amazing to receive the recognition for what we see as intrinsic to the way we work. Simple things like turning up when we say we will, ensuring that we build a good rapport with our customers, cleaning up after we finish and then following up once work has been completed all go a long way to support this.”

Mr Grants served for five years in the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers as an Avionics Technician in the British Army, working on some of the military's most sophisticated kit.

Grants Electrical Services will go up against a company specialising in tree surgery from Surrey and a heating firm from Somerset.
