A MAN out litter picking in Calne had to be rescued after he fell into a river.
The man was picking litter out of the river in Castlefields Park when he slipped into the river and couldn't get himself out.
He was seen by passing dog walkers and a jogger, who rang the emergency services.
At 11.03am today (Friday, April 6), a fire crew and ambulance crew were called to Castle Walk and pulled the man out of the river. He was treated and discharged at the scene.
