ONE of Bowood’s Hotel, Spa and Golf Resort resident team members of PGA golf pros has been named as one of the country’s top 50 golf coaches.

Ben Emerson has made his first appearance in the November issue of Today’s Golfer magazine since being selected as one of the top golf coaches, and will write six monthly columns for golf enthusiasts looking to improve their technique and skills.

The November issue has been out over a week, and already Mr Emerson has seen his social media pages go wild.

He said: “I’ve had so many lovely messages and comments from people all over the world, as well as from our own golf club members over the weekend.”

In his first column, Mr Emerson addresses how shoulder mobility affects a player’s swing.

Paul McLean, PGA head professional at Bowood Hotel, Spa and Golf Resort said: “His selection as part of this very impressive panel of the country’s top 50 coaches is a huge honour for Ben, and, it goes without saying, for Bowood too.

“Ben appears alongside some of the best coaches in the country. His further tips and advice for golfers over the next six months are now even more eagerly awaited.

“Our goal is to provide the highest standard of coaching supported by the latest golf technology and highest standard of guest experience with the finest all-weather facilities available.”

As well has having top-level coaching, the 18-hole championship course at Bowood is also praised in the November edition of Today’s Golfer, appearing as a star-turn in a spread about the best golf breaks.

The November issue of Today’s Golfer is on sale until October 25.
