Singchronize, a community choir from Calne, have held their final ever performance. The choir, which has approximately 80 members, are stopping after seven, joyful years together.

The performance took place at Calne Town Hall on Friday the 21st of July and was widely attended by family, friends and locals, who all congregated to celebrate the success and achievements of Singchronize. The choir sang a large variety of songs by a variety of bands including The Kinks, Metallica and Elbow and the occasion was greatly enjoyed by all those involved.

The group was founded by Sarah Mouille and her husband, Thomas Mouille, after being inspired by ‘Didgeridoo’ baby music classes. Since their founding in 2010, Singchronize have performed at several local events including: Spring Sing, Calnefest and the Christmas Lights Switch On, gaining them a professional reputation around the local area.

Unfortunately however, the choir will now be stopping as the founder and musical director of the group, Sarah, is moving to France with her children this summer.

Jay Perrett, one of the members, said: “There is a great sadness amongst us that this unique ‘family’ is coming to an end but we are so happy for Sarah and her children that she is going on this new adventure. We look forward to hearing her new arrangements for songs in other languages. She is truly talented, a remarkable lady.”
