AN all singing, all dancing robot, which graced the stage of Britain's Got Talent this year, stomped its way into Lyneham Primary School's summer fair this weekend.

Hundreds of schoolchildren were left in awe as Jay Wynne, one of the talent show's semi-finalist, towered above them and posed for photos in the boiling sun on Friday (July 7) afternoon.

"The kids absolutely loved it," teaching assistant Natalie Evans, who helped organise this year's event, said. "Jay didn't sing because he didn't have the right microphone in his suit but he walked around with all his lights on and posed for lots of photographs with the children.

"I decided to get in touch with Jay after I saw him on Britain's Got Talent one night and realised he was from Gloucestershire so I found him on Facebook and got in touch and he said he would come. It was a bit surreal actually but the kids really enjoyed it."

The fair was organised by the Friends of Lyneham Primary School with all money raised going back to the school for one of their new projects.

Mrs Evans added: "We are still deciding whether we want to put it towards and outdoor swimming pool or an all weather pitch out the back but I reckon we've probably raised between £800-1,000."
