LOCAL residents are being invited to come along to a consultation in Calne after housing developer GreenSquare announced that they are ready move forward with their plans to regenerate Woodroffe Square.
The full plans, which involve the demolition of garages and numbers 49-60, will be unveiled at the consulltation held at Colemans Farm Learning and Community Centre in Angle Close on March 1 from 4-7pm.
Angie Jones, regeneration officer at GreenSquare, said: "Our plans are still at an early stage, however, we are committed to improving the area for existing and future residents. This consultation event will be a good opportunity for people to tell us what they think of our initial proposals, what areas they’d like to see improved, and talk to us about any issues they might have.
"We will be working with the residents of these homes to ensure that they have suitable alternative housing and will support them through this process."
Earlier in February, contractors took soil samples and dug some trenches at the site to help Greensquare design the best drainage solution.
If anyone has any questions about the development or if you are unable to attend the consultation but would like to express your views, contact Angie Jones on 01249 465465 or email angie.jones@greensquaregroup.com.
