A WHITE Muscovy duck, which had got itself into a flap on the streets of Calne, had to be rescued after she refused to move from the carpark of a local restaurant.

PSCO Mark Cook attempted to scare the bird away from the Wood Street area at 9.30am on Sunday, November 27 but had to call for assistance from the Calne Wild Bird and Animal Rescue Centre, based in Stockley, after she had a stand-off with the officer behind the Spice of Bengal.

Tom and Caroline Baker from the centre helped recapture the duck, who is currently unhurt and settling in with their ducks at the centre.
