TWENTY-FOUR girls at St Mary's Calne achieved A*/A grades across all of their subjects in another successful year for the independent girls' school.

The school celebrated another year of fantastic GCSE results with 51 per cent of A* grades, 76 per cent of A*-A grades and 93 per cent A*-B.

Headmistress, Dr Felicia Kirk said: "I would like to praise all the girls on these fantastic results. St Mary’s offers a breadth of challenging subjects and the girls deserve these superb grades, which are also a reflection of the excellent teaching at St Mary’s Calne.

"In addition to this academic success, the girls excel in so many other areas of school life – in sport, music, drama and art – and I am proud that they achieve so much in all of these areas. As the girls embark upon life in Sixth Form here, they are certainly well poised to enjoy the opportunities open to them and to flourish in their academic studies."

Hannah Falk achieved a full sweep of A*s, Ally Leow boasted 11A*s and Charlotte Fenton, Victoria Rassmuss and Emelia Zmudzin all attained 10A*s and one A.
