TRACTOR Ted fans will have the opportunity to enjoy close encounters with a series of high-tech machines at Bowood House this weekend.
The Big Machines Weekend will see the UK's favourite little green tractor team up with agricultural machinery manufacturer New Holland for a weekend of interactive farming fun and games on Bowood Estate.
The family event, which is free to Bowood House ticket-holders, will showcase more than £1 million of farm machinery, with chances for youngsters to get inside the cab of a combine harvester and enjoy tractor and trailer rides.
James Ashworth, marketing manager for New Holland, said: “We are very happy to be a part of the Big Machines Weekend because it is important for New Holland to help Tractor Ted demonstrate to the younger generation the mechanics that go into farming today.
“Children need to see where their food comes from, and it is important to show the investment farmers make in agriculture, to ensure it remains a sustainable industry.”
The event will take place throughout the weekend up until Monday (May 30) starting at 11am and finishing at 5pm.
Entry to the event is included with a Bowood House & Gardens ticket or season ticket.
There will be an additional charge of £2 per person (2yrs+) for tractor and trailer rides.
