Comic book author Cavan Scott helped bring Book Week alive for a school’s Book Week with a heroes and villains theme.
Mr Scott, who has written for Doctor Who, Beano, Dandy and Star Wars got imaginations sparked at St Margaret’s Preparatory School when he carried out a number of workshops.
The children were given the challenge of creating a story by telling a lie about how they journeyed to school; they then went on to create a teacher-eating monster.
On the final day of Book Week the children and staff had the chance to dress up as their favourite comic book characters, which ranged from Dennis the Menace to Wonder Woman.
