Children’s storybook favourite Tractor Ted is bringing his Big Machines Weekend back to Bowood House and Gardens for the second time in 2015 this weekend.

Young fans will be able to come face to face with a host of working tractors, a forage harvester, balers, rakes, mowers and much more as the UK’s favourite little green tractor welcomes a host of special guests.

The family event, which is free to Bowood House & Gardens ticket-holders, is being supported by leading agricultural machinery manufacturers CLAAS who will be bringing along a selection of their exciting and new farm machinery.

Highlights are set to include displays by a dancing digger, demonstrations by Bowood’s forestry team, dog agility demonstrations and loads of Tractor Ted-related fun and games.

There will also be Tractor and Trailer Rides around the Bowood Estate with 'Look & Learn' Challenges and the chance for youngsters to enjoy a bounce on the Tractor Ted Bouncy Castle.

Tractor Ted’s marketing manager, Jo Sparrow, said: “The Big Machines Weekend is a perfect opportunity for youngsters to come face to face with some truly spectacular farm machinery.

“Many will be brand new and it’s fabulous CLAAS have loaned them to us for the weekend so that kids can get really close to the machines they so love watching at work in the fields.

“The event really showcases what Tractor Ted is all about real-life farming fun.”

As well as all the giant farm machinery, youngsters can meet and handle friendly farm animals in Tractor Ted’s Little Farm including a litter of baby piglets.

They can also watch Tractor Ted’s real action films in a purpose-built barn, next door to Bowood’s Adventure Playground whilst outside there will be play farm equipment including a mini tractor track and ball and diggers in the mini digger den.

Tractor Ted’s Little Farm is open daily until November 1 and entry is included in the cost of Bowood House and Gardens admission.
