HILLS Group has extended its sponsorship of Calne Town Football Club for a fifth consecutive year.

Fans had their first glimpse of the new Hills-sponsored kit in the Fred Rutty Cup where the Lilywhites fell to a 4-2 defeat against Chippenham Park FC.

The Lilywhites kick off their Toolstation Western League first division season at Bremhill View on Wednesday against Devizes Town before travelling to Wells City on Saturday in their first away trip of the season.

Simon Gardner, chairman of Calne Town FC, said: “We are delighted that Hills has chosen to continue their sponsorship of the football club for the 2015/16 season. Hills’ continued support since 2010/11 has been a key contributor in maintaining the heartbeat of this football club.”

Last season the club finished 15th in the Toolstation Western League’s first division; improving on their performance last season, to secure a total of 51 points.

Gary McKinnon, divisional director for Waste Solutions, said: “We are pleased to be able to offer our continued support to a club which is local to the company and a home to a number of our employees. Our involvement in local community projects is something that Hills is extremely proud of and we would like to wish the team every success for the forthcoming season.”
