Thousands packed into the Calne Recreation Ground on Saturday for the fifth annual CalneFest.

Those behind the festival said they were delighted with the response the festival recieved as a steady stream of people arrived through the gates throughout the afternoon.

Zoe Newton got things underway with the first performance at 12.15pm on the second stage and music filled the afternoon through to the Britpop band Dodgy who drew things to a close on the main stage.

Organiser Glenis Ansell said: "I am delighted with how it's gone. It's been so good the amount of help we have had.

"I'm really pleased with it, it's lovely to see Calne come out in such great numbers."

The brand new comedy tent enjoyed strong attendances throughout the day with headliner Andrew O'Neill entertaining crowds with an energetic, musical and fun-filled set.

Volunteers are returning the Rec to its original state this morning (Sunday).
