The Humberts Tytherton Ride has raised £10,000 for a variety of good causes after a record number of riders took part in ride across the Wiltshire countryside on Sunday.
The six and 12 mile routes, based in the parish of Bremhill, allowed 380 riders to take in some of the best countryside in Wiltshire, including the Avon and Marden valleys.
As well as the riders, families and spectators enjoyed the sunshine and excellent ground conditions for the 40 optional jumps which were put up for all levels of riders and horses, including some top event riders.
Chairman of the event Ian James said: “The parish of Bremhill has yet again surpassed itself with many local people out stewarding for the day. Without their support, and the landowners, this event would not take place.”
The money raised at the annual event, which has been held since 1986, will go to the Wiltshire Air Ambulance, local churches, village halls and Christian Malford primary school.
Reybridge Eventing also brought two young horses for training over the six mile ride and trainer Maggie Doel said: "This is a well organised event, and ideal for giving young horses an opportunity to stretch their legs after the winter, the jumps have been well constructed and provide a good experience for both rider and horse”
