FLAGSHIP BBC One programme Antiques Roadshow will be holding a valuation day at Bowood House and Gardens near Calne on Thursday June 25.

Bowood celebrates the 40th anniversary of the House and Gardens opening to the public in 2015 and is one of 12 locations the BBC has announced for their annual roadshow.

A transmission date is yet to be announced.

The BBC approached Bowood a couple of years ago regarding the possibility of filming and discussions have been ongoing since then.

Lord Lansdowne said: “It really was fantastic to receive the news, just before Christmas that Bowood has been confirmed as one of the locations the BBC’s Antiques Roadshow will be visiting in 2015.

“We couldn’t be more delighted that the longstanding TV series, which enjoys such a dedicated following, has selected Bowood to be part of its schedule for next year.”

Bowood has previously featured on the BBC when Sir Alan Sugar awarded a task-winning team from The Apprentice with archery, golf and English afternoon tea within the stately setting.

As part of the 40th anniversary celebrations, Bowood have also confirmed Toby Buckland’s Garden Festival and the tenth Charity Dog Show & Summer Fair will also take place in June 2015.
