CHILDREN as young as four from a Calne school have used their imagination to describe objects as part of a radio quiz.
One pupil from St Margaret’s Preparatory School, Calne, described a cork as ‘something that smells like the inside of wood’ when Wiltshire Radio visited last week.
The children were recorded as part of a game called ‘Show, Don’t Tell’ that airs each day during the morning show between 9.25am and 9.50am.
The pupils aged four to six had to describe everyday objects without using their names.
Listeners then had to call in to take a guess at the answer.
Simeon Courie, who recorded the show, said: “The children at St Margaret’s were great fun and really understood the challenge.
“Their ability to describe every-day objects, without actually saying what it was that they were holding, was imaginative and often very funny.”
Headmistress Karen Cordon said: “We were proud of them as they were so enthusiastic and really enjoyed themselves.”
